The Ponderosa Jazz Band is an exciting ensemble that performs Big Band Swing, Funk, Rock, Latin Jazz, Fusion, and other modern styles. Students will learn how to improvise solos, arrange songs, perform stylistically, and become fluent in musical communication. Jazz Band will play at several performances and festivals throughout the year, like the Mile High Jazz Festival, UNC Greeley Jazz Festival, and the Legends Jazz Festival.

Students are highly recommended to be enrolled in Symphonic Band in addition to Jazz Band. Once enrolled, chair placement auditions will take place in November. For any questions, please contact Mr. Merrill.
