Hello from the Ponderosa Instrumental Boosters Club, a 501c3 organization. We are parents of band and orchestra students at Ponderosa High School. Our mission is to support our instrumental students in multiple ways, including:
Transport large instruments and equipment for off-campus events. We use our own panel truck and trailer to transport instruments and equipment to and from off-campus events, such as football games or music festivals.
Feed our students during off-campus events. Thanks to volunteers, we’re able to feed our students at off-campus events. In years past, you could spot us setting up our picnic tables, crock pots, and tents in the Echo stadium parking lot during football games.
Decorate and provide refreshments during on-campus performances. We decorate the stage and organize refreshments for band and orchestra performances held at Ponderosa High School.
Host the End of Year Banquet. We coordinate and plan the end of year banquet, where we celebrate the accomplishments of our band and orchestra students, especially graduating seniors.
Help purchase instruments. We use our funds to assist in the purchase of large instruments. We recently helped purchase tubular bells for the percussion section.
Provide uniform fittings. In the past, we helped fit students for their concert attire. And we plan to help fit students for their marching band uniforms.
Promote and recruit. To help recruit new instrumental students, we host various events that include catered meals and goodie bags. These events give up-and-coming students a chance to learn about the Ponderosa High School Instrumental program and meet current band and orchestra students.
Fundraise. Our most important job is raising funds to support the Ponderosa High School Instrumental program. We organize large fundraisers to cover expenses and contribute directly to the program. This year, we are hosting the annual peach sale. And we are working on a targeted GoFundMe campaign to help get the marching band back at Pondo.
